June 3, 2020:

I have entered the Writer's Digest 89th Annual Writing Competition in the Memoirs/Personal Essay category.

They will announce the winners by September 30, 2020.

February 3, 2020:

Well, that was quick, ‘War and Space’ didn't even make it past the initial cut.

January 31, 2020:

I have entered a short story, ‘War and Space’ into the Jim Baen Memorial Short Story Award. 

October 31 , 2019:

I have entered a short story into the 2020 CBC Short Story Prize. The winners will be announced in April of 2020, the short list before that. It’s good practice, and a story in itself as to how I wrote the story and submitted it in approx. eleven hours.
